SPECIFICATION

Bacillus thuringiensis k (BT – Kurstaki)

The mode of action of Bacillus thuringiensis is that it can produce two types of toxins, endotoxins (companion crystals) and exotoxins, which stop pests from feeding. Pests die from hunger, blood damage, and neurotoxicity.

Target Pests: Lepidoptera pests on the crops and forests,such as diamond-back moth, cabbage butterfly, cotton bollworm, oriental tobacco budworm, rice skipper butterfly, corn borer, rice stem borer, American white moth, poplar notodontidae, pine caterpillars, and other important pests.

Warning:

  1. Best controlling time for lepidoptera pestsis during the peak hatching period

and stage of the 1st-2nd instar.

  1. Spray in late afternoon of sunny days or in cloudy weather. And do need to

respray if rain occurs within 6 hours after application.

  1. Shouldn’t be mixed with systemic organophosphorous insecticides or

fungicides.

  1. High toxicity to silkworm. Should be far away from the silkworm culture zones.
  2. Should wear protective clothing and gloves. In case of skin or eye contact, rinse

with clean water at once.

Precaution: 

Low toxic. In case of eye contact, wash with water. If swallow inadvertently and have any uncomfortable feeling, go to the hospital immediately.  

Storage: 

Should be stored in shady and dry place. Do avoid moisture, heat and solarization. Not be stored and transported with food, drink, feedstuff, etc. And do be away from children.
