1: Brief introduction:

Chitosan Oligosaccharide Agricultural Grade (COS-AG) Manufactured from Agreenco Bio is full water-soluble natural oligosaccharide with less 20 degree polymerization, made by the Bioenzymolysis technology of depolymerizing chitosan (derived from shrimp,shell and sea living source).

COS-AG is the only one natural oligosaccharide with “positive charge”, formed from Glucosamine by β- 1,4 glycosidic bond, it has the significant prominent water solubility and higher bio-activities.

COS-AG is working as the effective elicitor of Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR) in plant which activates plants' natural defenses to boost plant vigor and immune system, improve plant healthier and higher yield.

3.Mode of Action and Practical Applications

COS-AG’s mode of action is different from the traditional chemical pesticides, more safe and eco-friendly to environment, specialized for improving plant’s immune system and resistance to adverse conditions (disease infection, drought,coldness, hot, hot wind, salty soil, and chemical stress etc.), and stimulate the plant growth and quality of crops.

COS-AG mode of action for preventing and control disease for plant:

COS-AG works in plant cells for preventing and control disease by the two pathways:1: Inhibiting of the growth of the pathogen to attenuate the infection ability of the pathogen. 2: COS-AG Moleculars can make receptor bind on plant cells to stimulate resistance signal molecules, such as NO, H2O2, Ca2+, jasmonic acid, etc., through signal transduction, and then stimulate the expression of resistant genes and produce resistant substances such as β- 1.3 glucanase, chitinase, plant antitoxin, phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, catalase, superoxide dismutase, etc, So as to achieve the purpose of disease control. 5.COS-AG to use for soil care and control soil disease and nematode.

COS-AG is widely used to soil to help rooting and root hair growth stronger to resist the soil disease infection. COS-AG can stimulate the developing and growing of Actinomycetes in soil to help absorbing and fixing the nitrogen from air to feed the roots. COS-AG can improve the particle and structure of soil. COS-AG can prevent and control the nematode in soil effectively.COS-AG’s performances for promoting plant growth stronger:

Stimulate plant growth: seeds germination, rooting, leaves growth, fruits growth, improve quality of fruits and crops, increase yield.

(1). Seeds treatment to enhance the seeds vigor, increase germination: such as for cereal crops seeds treatment, the germination increased 20-35%, the seeds vigor index increased 50-62%;

the mode of action is: COS-AG can induce the bio-activity of endosperm α- amylase in seeds. The germination rate and germination index of cucumber seeds treated with COS-AG increased by 15% and 2.2%.

(2).Promote the rooting and root growth:

Induce and promote the plant roots developing, and more root hair and roots growth: COS-AG can work in soil and on rooting to forming a bio-film to protect from soil disease and soil pests infections, and also induce the more benefit matters about root, and help roots to growth stronger to resist the adversity conditions( drought, salty, coldness, etc.)

(3). Promote the leaves and fruit growth:

COS-AG can enhance the plant bio-photosynthesis to increase the rate of photosynthetic rate: The COS-AG can increase the content of chlorophyll, soluble protein in leaves, So, after used the COS-Ag for crops, the plant is more stronger, and more dark leaves color, and enhance the fruit setting, and finally increase the yield and the quality of crops.

For cucumber stage of 3-4 leaves, using COS-Ag by foliar spraying at 10-50PPM,

every week, and after 3 applications, and results showing that 3-5 days earlier ripe,

and yield increased 20%; for oil-seed rape using by seeds treatment, and the foliar

spraying 3 times, and the oil-seed rape yield increased 9.67%.

6.COS-AG Practise cases and Applications ways:

Seeds treatment:BY seeds soaking or seeds mixing;

For cereal crops seeds, oil-seeds, soybeans:  

Enhance seeds vigor and germination, resist disease and help stronger seedling:

50-100ppm solution: soaking seeds 4-8hours and then sowing seeds.

50-100ppm solution to blending seeds and then seeds.

Noted: pls do a small trials locally and then using widely locally, bcs different countries has different practise and different seeds varieties and different weather conditions.

 Drip irrigation or flood irrigationwith fertilizers together to prevent and control nematode, control soil disease, promote rooting and roots growth stronger.

0.1%-1.5% concentration solution , 3-5 applications per crops seasons.

Foliar spraying applications:

50-100ppm by spraying. Every 1-2weeks per applications. Can tank mix with foliar fertilizers, traditional pesticides.

Applications stages: seedling stage, transplanting stage, before flowers, after flowers, fruit setting, fruit enlargement, before harvest.

 For fruits shelf-life longer (7-25days longer)

 A: For fruits( apple, pears,cherry,grapes,mango,peach,etc.): 3-5 days before harvest, 50-100ppm by spraying fruits( it can form a film on fruits to prevent the bacterial and fungi infect the fruits skin.), or you can wash fruits with 0.01%-1.5% concentration after harvest. That way can make the shelf-life 14-25days longer.

For strawberry: 1% or 1.5% water solution to spraying washing the fruits;

For Apricot: 0.05%-0.1% by spraying fruits or water solution to spraying washing the fruits.

For applet, pears: 0.05%-0.1% by spraying fruits or water solution to spraying washing the fruits.

B: For vegetables fruits( tomato, cucumber, chili, eggplants):3-5 days before harvest, 50-100ppm spraying fruits( it can form a film on fruits to prevent the bacterial and fungi infect the fruits skin.), or you can wash fruits with 0.01%-1.5% water solution wash fruits after harvest. That way can make the shelf-life 7-14days longer.
